Obon - Traffic report

Traffic becomes very busy in mid-August in Japan because of the annual migration for Obon.
Furano is no exception to this phenomenon.
People come back to their home town to visit and clean their family's grave during Obon .
Most of the companies and public institutions throughout Japan close during this time.
That makes it possible to take longer holidays easily.

Other beautiful flowers have been blooming in several flower fields.
So the traffic around these fields is especially heavy.
Be careful!!

FTA will be busy in this late afternoon finding accommodations for visitors who haven't had a booking tonight.
The traffic is thickening again in the early evening.
