A farmer report

This picture shows a watering for onion fields in Furano. When the weather stays dry, water pipes set up in the fields work surely in the early morning or in the evening.

These onions will be harvested in late summer.

Do you know what this is? Beautiful flowers, aren't they? They look like lilies.
The answer is asparagus :D
Asparagus is classified in the lily family!
They are storing up nutrition under the summer sun.
They will promise us a good harvest next year :D
